Born From a collaboration between jazz musician and musicologist – Jean-Michel Cohen-Solal and Thierno Camara – one of the greatest bassists of his generation and a virtuoso performer – Tinton Groove is music From Sénégal, imbued with pop, jazz and fusion.
Jean-Michel Cohen-Solal and Thierno Camara met on stage while playing for Makane Kouyate, Master drummer, during a performance at Silvana club in New York City. Jean-Michel Cohen-Solal and Thierno Camara had also performed together on different stages in New York, including Farafina Lounge, The Shrine, Amsterdam Social and Zinc Bar to name a few.
Tinton Groove consists of exceptional people, skilled musicians from all over the world: Thierno Camara (Senegal), Jean-Michel Cohen-Solal (France), Miriam Chemmoss (East-Africa-Kenya/Tanzania), Daniel Baguti (Switzerland) and Pap Sow (Senegal)
